INSTRUCTIONS
1. League Overview & Objective
Welcome to the Annur badminton premier league ! The primary objective of this league is to promote fitness, sportsmanship, and friendly competition among players of all skill levels. This document outlines the rules, format, and procedures to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.
2. Each round comprises of 3 doubles matches. Each match to be played best of 3 sets, 21 points in each set.
3. Only players from the enrolled list are permitted to participate in the matches. No additional or change of player will be entertained once the final league fixtures are released.
4. No player shall participate in more than one match in any given round.
5. A player can only represent one team
6. The home team shall provide fresh cork for each match. Only yonex Mavis 350 Should be used.
7. If both the teams have mutually agreed to play the matches in advance of the scheduled date, they are at liberty to do so.
8. Both the teams shall send the result to the tournament director in the result card and by whatsapp after the completion of the matches on that particular week.
9. The visting team shall contact the home team well in advance at least before 48 hours to schedule the matches. It is the responsibility of the home team to arrange and complete the matches as per schedule
10. Even though the decision of the home team is final in scheduling the week's match either in Saturday or Sunday, they may consider the request of the visiting team before fixing the date and time
11. The home team has to provide hospitality to the visiting team players
12. If the 3 matches in the fixture, the winner of each match will get one point and loser will get none
13. The team winning the maximum number of points will be declared as the winner and awarded trophy. Individual prizes will also be given to all the players of the top two teams in each division.
14. Any dispute relating to the technical conduct of the league shall be referred only to the tournament director/coordinator. The tournament director decision is final.
15. For any other dispute the decision of the Annur BPL committee is final.
16. All communications should be addressed to the Tournament director.
17. Self-Officiating: Due to the scale of the league, matches will be self-officiated. Players are expected to make their own line calls.
Always give the benefit of the doubt to your opponent.
If a clear decision cannot be made, the point should be replayed ("Let").
18. Code of Conduct & Sportsmanship
All players are expected to display the highest levels of sportsmanship and respect towards opponents, officials, and facility staff.
Any form of verbal abuse, physical intimidation, or cheating will not be tolerated.
The league organizers reserve the right to issue warnings, deduct points, or disqualify players/teams for misconduct.
